I googled ‘G Smithers of Brompton Village’, curious to know whether the worthy gentleman had his own site, (maybe I should have cuiled it) and I found this page dedicated to Blaylock’s work.
On reflection, Smithers is almost certainly too ‘old school’ to run a blog or web-page, though wonder what he would come up with.

Looks like G Smithers of Brompton Village has some confederates.
Matt Staggs has certainly started off strong, interviewing Paul Di Filippo, author of the magnificently strange and entertaining Steampunk Trilogy. Bravo, Staggs! In the interview, Di Filippo recommends an author called Van Reid (on the magical basis of: ‘if you like Tim Powers and James Blaylock, you’ll like this’).
