I am rapidly becoming an aficionado of Steve H, a musician and Logic guru, who produces excellent tutorials for macprovideo.

You can catch an interview with him here, courtesy of Electronic Musician‘s podcasts. There is some fascinating stuff about Logic’s environment and algorithmic programming.
Hope he’ll do a tutorial on using the environment.

I have been greatly enjoying the teaser videos put out by Spectrasonics on their new ‘psychoacoustic’ wonder synth. They sampled a burning piano and lightbulbs and electricity bolts and stuff to make their presets.

It is being released in September and looks and sounds completely incredible. It will cost $499, so I don’t think I’ll be able to get one in a hurry, but you never know.

You can subscribe to the official video podcasts in iTunes here.

From the Apple start page:

Need to write a research paper for a summer course? Then you’ll want to pay a visit to the Florida Community College at Jacksonville and sign up for English Composition II. The 24-unit video course provides a comprehensive resource for writing academic essays. And you can also learn about technical writing, writing for business, and literary analysis, as well. It’s another fine course available on iTunes U.
This course loads in iTunes when you click the link. It is a complete set of lectures in video podcast format, so it is very large. I haven’t had time to review it yet as it has only just started downloading but the lecture list looks comprehensive and in-depth.
Don’t click on this unless you have lots of space on your hard-drive and a fast Broadband connection.

iTunes now has a university site where you can get podcasts of lectures in video and audio formats.

I will be reporting on any of the courses I do and enjoy.
